David was a founding member in 1987 of what became independent investment bank Real Africa Durolink (RAD) and was the managing director of RAD Bank and a director of the listed holding company (RADH).

David formed Nodus together with Ockert Goosen and Ian Groenewald in 2004.

He has extensive corporate and structured finance experience, having initiated, developed and implemented corporate and structured finance transactions for listed and unlisted companies over a period of more than 20 years.

David formed Nodus in 2004 and is the managing director of Nodus Capital.

Hillie Meyer
BCom (Econometrics), Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries

Hillie retired as the CEO of the Momentum Group in September 2005, after which he focused on private equity investments. He joined Nodus Equity in October 2010. During his tenure at the helm of Momentum, the company grew premium income by 21% per annum on average, with asset growth of 27% per annum and profit growth of 29% per annum.  Hillie is acknowledged for his leadership qualities and strategic acumen. He is an actuary by profession.

Hillie is the managing partner of Nodus Equity.

Gary Bryce-Borthwick CA (SA)

Gary completed his articles in 1999 and remained at Moore Stephens MWM Inc until joining Nodus in 2006.

His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, management and leveraged buy-outs, BEE buy-ins, project finance, debt and equity capital raisings, valuations, due diligence investigations and financial modeling.

Gary is a director of Nodus Capital and is responsible for a number Nodus Equity's portfolio companies.

GC Swanepoel CA (SA)
BCom (Hons) (Accounting)

GC completed his articles at Theron van der Poel in the early eighties. He joined Prestasi Insurance Brokers (today they are called Indwe Risk Managers) in 1986 and left in 1994 as Director of Marketing and Sales.

GC joined The Trustee Board Investments (Pty) Ltd as Executive Director in 1994.

He started his own short term insurance brokerage businesses in 2002 as Executive Group Managing Director and is currently still on the board of Trustee Board Investments as non executive-director.

GC is a non-executive director of Nodus Capital.

Johan le Roux CA (SA)
BCom (Hons) (Accounting)

Johan completed his articles with Deloitte in 2001 and progressed to a senior manager in the Corporate Finance division before joining Nodus in 2006.

His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, management and leveraged buy-outs, BEE transactions, debt and equity capital raisings, de-listings, valuations, fairness opinions, due diligence investigations and financial modeling.

Johan is a director of Nodus Capital and is responsible for a number of Nodus Equity's portfolio companies.

Erich Schulenburg CA (SA)
BCompt (Hons), ACA(UK)

Erich completed his articles at Moore Stephens Johannesburg in 2006 before moving to its corporate finance practice in London. He left practice to join a private equity funded renewable energy company as Group Financial Manager responsible for financial management, project finance support and rolling out of the company's footprint throughout Southern Europe and Israel. Erich joined Nodus upon his return to South Africa. His experience includes financial management, business development, due diligence investigations, listings, tax, valuations and LBO's.

Erich is part of the Nodus Equity team.

Dean Smart CA (SA)
Bcompt (Hons)

Dean completed his articles at Deloitte in 2007 and was seconded to Dublin, Ireland for 3 months before joining Nodus in June 2008.

His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, management and leveraged buy-outs, BEE transactions, debt and equity capital raisings, valuations, due diligence investigations and financial modeling.

Dean is part of the Nodus Capital team.

Lauren Hodge

Lauren joined Nodus in 2004.

She performs the role of accounts manager and is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of the group, as well as assisting the team with documentation and administration during the implementation and closing phases of transactions.

Lauren is the Nodus Compliance Officer and Counter-Money Laundering Officer.

Stella Pike

Stella forms part of the Nodus support staff and has been with the group since 2008.

Matthew Nindi

Matthew forms part of the Nodus support staff and has been with the group since 2005.
